• Purpose and Scope

The Chartered AI Business Professional (CAiBP®) represents ARTiBA’s highest professional recognition for experienced AI business and strategy professionals. The charter signifies demonstrated strategic depth, executive judgment, and sustained responsibility in the business leadership, governance, adoption, and oversight of AI-driven initiatives, together with adherence to ARTiBA’s professional and ethical standards.

This policy defines the requirements for maintaining active CAiBP® status, the renewal process, and the consequences of non-renewal. It applies to all individuals holding an active, inactive, deactivated, or suspended CAiBP®.

  • Principle of Charter Continuity

CAiBP® is issued as a time-bound professional charter. Continued use of the designation requires periodic confirmation that the charterholder remains engaged in advanced AI business practice, leadership, and professional learning appropriate to the senior and chartered nature of the credential.

Renewal is designed to confirm continued professional practice, responsibility, and learning at a level consistent with the standards of the CAiBP®.

  • Nature of Renewal

CAiBP® renewal serves to validate ongoing professional engagement and judgment within the scope of advanced AI business leadership and strategic practice, consistent with the expectations. Renewal is conducted under ARTiBA’s credential governance framework and is supported through a structured Declaration of Continuing Professional Practice and Learning, submitted through the myARTiBA dashboard.

  • Authority and Governance

ARTiBA administers CAiBP® renewal in accordance with its credentialing policies and governance standards. Decisions relating to renewal approval, deactivation, suspension, reinstatement, or cancellation of the CAiBP® are made by ARTiBA and are final.

Any material misrepresentation, omission, or failure to comply with renewal requirements may result in disciplinary action, including revocation of the charter status.

  • Renewal Overview

CAiBP® renewal is completed through the myARTiBA dashboard and is designed to ensure continuity of the charter status rather than reassessment of prior achievement.

Important

CAiBP® renewal does not involve an examination or re-evaluation of foundational credentials. Renewal is supported through a formal Declaration of Continuing Professional Practice and Learning. ARTiBA may request additional documentation where required to support the governance and integrity of the charter.

How Renewal Works

CAiBP® renewal follows a guided process designed to ensure clarity and continuity:

  • Access your CAiBP® record through the myARTiBA dashboard.
  • Complete the applicable charter renewal fee.
  • Submit the Declaration of Continuing Professional Practice and Learning.

Once the renewal review is completed, the outcome is communicated via email. Upon approval, the charterholder’s active charter status is reflected in their digital credential.
